PR rated as a top career choice
U.S. News and World Report recently ranked public relations as one of the top 50 career choices for the decade ahead. Read why and learn more about what public relations professionals do by clicking here.
Welcome to JMC Internship Central, the blog for journalism and mass communication students at Abilene Christian University. This site provides useful information for students who are looking for internships, entry-level jobs or other career-related information.
If you are an employer or an ACU alumni reading this site and would like more information about providing internships to ACU's JMC majors, we would love to hear from you. Our students look for internships with media outlets (print, broadcast, online), advertising and public relations agencies, video, film and photography studios, and in the communications, public relations or marketing departments of corporations, school districts, hospitals, universities, churches, nonprofit agencies, municipalities and government agencies.
In addition, please e-mail us or visit our Web site if you want more information about ACU's award-winning, accredited journalism and mass communication program.
If you are a current JMC major at Abilene Christian University, please click here to view or download a copy of the internship packet, which includes all of the instructions and forms you'll need to start your JMC internship. You can also access individual forms, including the contract form and employer evaluation forms. You may also e-mail the department for copies of forms.
All for-credit internships require advance approval from the department's internship director. Don't start an internship without this approval.
